The Connecticut STEM Foundation, INC.

Dedicated to Enabling STEM Engagement for Future Generations of Connecticut Citizens

Our Core Initiatives

Empowering change for a brighter tomorrow

Engagement

Our mission is to engage pre-college Connecticut students from diverse backgrounds in multiple Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) activities, provide opportunities to interact with like-minded students, mentors, and STEM professionals, and support them and their teachers.

Enrichment

We provide advanced teacher training, unique events for students to see the practical application of science via field trips and lectures, and offer two scholarship programs: one for high school seniors participating in the current annual Fair and a second for undergraduate students who need financial help to participate in summer STEM programs.

Volunteers

The Connecticut STEM Foundation, Inc. is an all-volunteer non-profit organization. Volunteers fuel every activity, from running the science fair to serving on the board of directors. Our volunteers are excited about STEM education, contributing to the advancement of our students, and seeing the amazing projects that students present each year.

Sponsors & Partners

It takes a village to create educational opportunities for Connecticut's students, and we couldn't do it without the help of our business partners and sponsors. These for-profit and nonprofit organizations provide much-needed financial and volunteer support for our events. In return, they fulfill their social responsibility agendas and build a pipeline of future employees.

STEM Education is Vital for a Strong Economy

Building a better future through education

"Experts agree that science, technology, engineering and math will drive new innovations across disciplines, making use of computational power to accelerate discoveries and finding creative ways to work across disciplinary silos to solve big challenges. To remain competitive going forward, our nation must continue to design and build a thriving innovation economy, supported by a citizenry that is invested in the STEM enterprise. To succeed, the nation must invest in new research and innovation infrastructures that include all people, regardless of their background." NSF, 2020 Visioning Report
