Today was the final day of Intel ISEF. This morning we had a nice hearty breakfast to start off the morning right. We then started to go head out towards the Grand Awards Ceremony. At the Awards ceremony, many Connecticut students had been awarded which we all clapped whole heartedly for and were super excited for. Within the CT STEM Fair students, Dante won an award for 4th place in translational medicine and Sophia won an award for 3rd place for Earth and Environmental Sciences. Afterwards, we met up with the CT STEM students very briefly to congratulate that fairs’ students about their endeavors and awards. The final grand awards were really great because there was confetti everywhere and everyone was just so excited for the winners!
We then had to go pack up our poster boards which was a bit of a hassle just because we had to go print out these shipping tags for the actual card board box.
After the award ceremony, we headed back to the hotel to get a quick lunch and it was really great! Then, we headed to meet with a co-founder in this tech company that was regarding artificial intelligence and machine learning. It was a really fascinating visit just because of the set up of the company and how ambitious it’s goals were. We were able to visit because of a personal connection. It was a really inspiring project because you could actually see the applicability of artificial intelligence and really just computer science in general with different disciplines of the STEM Field. After this quick visit, we had to head back to the hotel just because we had a shuttle to catch to the airport.
After the flight back to New York, it was bitter sweet because we had all shared such a great experience that we would all remember!
